The Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Ermak held an online meeting with members of the International Expert Group on Sanctions against Russia, which he heads with the director of the Institute for International Research Friman Michael McFol. The meeting was also attended by an adviser - Presidential Commissioner for sanction policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, advisers of the head of the office of the head of state Dariy Zarivna and Sergey Leshchenko.

Andriy Yermak noted that during its existence, the group prepared 18 working documents and three comprehensive action plans. “Each of them was handed over to key partners and played an important role in forming sanctioned policy. Thanks to your efforts, an unprecedented package of sanctions was developed against one of the largest countries - world order violators in modern history, ”he stressed.

The head of the Presidential Office noted that it was the international sanction group actively promoted the energy embargo for the Russian Federation, initiated the expansion and reconciliation of lists of export control. The group also offered sanctions against Russian enterprises, banks, officials and propagandists.

In addition, the recommendations of the Yermak-Macfola Group to counter the shadow fleet of Russia, restriction of access to critical components and machines with numerical software management, sanctions against Rosatom's management, and disconnecting additional banks from SWIFT were implemented.
