But the updated version of the Onyx-M missile has a stated range of 800 km. The missile guidance system on the final area is carried out by the radar head of the self -introduction, but it is possible to defeat in advance in advanced coordinates.

Onyx is called a classic anti-ship missile, but at a high speed of flight, which distinguishes it from X-35, Harpoon or "Netna". Since the beginning of the full -scale war, the Russian Federation has only used "Onyx". In June 2022, the Armed Forces reported on the interception of 8 Onyx missiles, then used in December 2022 and the missiles were also intercepted.

But in July 2022, the Armed Forces Command of the Armed Forces noted that the purpose of P-800 Onyx was extremely difficult for Ukrainian air defense. A month later, it was stated that Ukraine could not knock down onyxs, it is necessary to intercept Patriot or SAMP/T.
