It is already a common practice for the Ukrainian infospace, when "universal experts" comment on any topic, trying to capture a share of the audience's attention. Mostly on cheap hype. But let's soberly analyze the facts. The only reason for power outages is enemy attacks on power facilities. There is no "electricity export", "separate agreements to disconnect or not certain consumers". Only the destruction of energy facilities.
Each blow to the power system, regardless of whether it is applied to a large power plant or substation, or to a smaller-scale object, is a change in the mode of operation of electrical networks. This change must be responded to promptly by changing the scheme and limiting consumers in order to balance the energy system at one or another of its levels. This is what dispatchers of distribution system operators and system operator "Ukrenergo" do.
In October, the enemy destroyed almost the entire generation on the Left Bank of Ukraine and the substations used to transmit electricity from west to east. This was immediately felt by the residents of the left bank of Kyiv and Kyiv region. The enemy has changed the tactics of attacks - now even the smallest energy facilities in cities and towns are targeted, where it is impossible to install an expensive air defense system.
They also attack coal mines, enrichment factories, gas production and gas transportation infrastructure. The statistics of the war are as follows: Ukraine needs approximately 18 GW of power to survive the winter. We have 16-17 GW. The Russians have not yet attacked our nuclear power plants - thanks to this, we have 6-7 GW of base power. But they are hitting the transmission system, which complicates the transmission of electricity produced at the NPP.
Conclusion: blackout schedules are the only way to evenly distribute electricity that is in short supply. The Russians seek to destroy our energy and force us to surrender in the dark and cold. The situation is difficult, but no one gives up. All services - energy workers, gas workers, rescue workers - all work at the edge of possibilities. Every kilowatt saved now counts.
