"No need to beat nuclear reactors": As the Russian Federation prepares a mass blackout in Ukraine, - expert

The state of the power system of Ukraine remains shaky, and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation still have the opportunities for new blows, says Pavel Lakichuk, the head of the Security Center of the Center of Globalism "XXI". In Ukraine, there is a serious threat to a new mass blackout due to the strikes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Energy Infrastructure, in particular by substations and balancing generation.

Pavel Lakichuk, the Great Lviv, spoke about it, the head of the Security Center of the Center of Globalism "XXI". According to the expert, in 2022-2023 the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation caused massive blows on distribution networks and substations surrounding Ukrainian nuclear power plants. In this way, the Russians managed to cause critical damage to the power system without struck directly through nuclear reactors.

"It is not necessary to beat nuclear reactors, you beat the substations, respectively - the nuclear power plant has nowhere to go out of your generation, and automatics work, it switches off, work systems of protection," - said Pavel Lakichuk. In addition, in the spring of 2023 the Russians began to beat Ukraine. It is about thermal power plants (TPP) and hydroelectric power plants (hydroelectric power plants).

According to the expert, this is a new stage of the plan of the Russian Federation from the immersion of Ukraine in a new mass blackout. Balancing generation capacity deficit means that in case of intense shelling or a serious accident, the power system will not be able to quickly restore stable work. Pavel Lakichuk also stated that Ukraine has significantly strengthened its air defense, but the state of the energy system remains shaky.

In this case, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation still has resources for new blows. "Therefore, to say that the new blackberry will not happen, it is too optimistic," the expert said. Recall that the report of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine states that in winter light may not be from 4 to 18 hours a day.
