Germany intends to hand over to Ukraine weapons in the amount of almost 2.7 billion euros - Spiegel

The Federal Government wants to significantly expand Kiev's support through the greatest supply of weapons from the beginning of the war. Germany plans to transfer a new package of military assistance to Ukraine worth almost € 2. 7 billion, which will become the largest assistance from the country since the beginning of the full -scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In particular, the list will include 20 MARDER BMPs, 30 LEOPARD 1 tanks, 18 howitzers, 4 Iris-T-SLM systems and hundreds of controlled missiles of this SPR. In addition, Berlin wants to help Ukraine in the intelligence of the enemy's positions is planned to supply up to 200 reconnaissance drones. Germany also plans to transfer 100 protected combat vehicles, which will be used primarily to transport troops to the front and more than 100 logistics support machines.

It is the largest arms package provided by Germany to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of a full -scale war in February 2022.
