The Grain Agreement does not provide for the requirements of the Russian Federation - Ambassador

According to Vasyl Bodnar's diplomat, discussions are currently on issues initiated by Moscow. The grain agreement was signed by the UN with Russia in this format. The Grain Agreement does not provide for any needs of Russia. The Kremlin raised questions about the work of the ammonia and the removal of sanctions from the banks of the Russian Federation are currently being discussed.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar at a briefing at the Media Center "Ukraine - Ukrinform". "The agreement itself does not envisage any needs of Russia. The agreement provides for the mechanisms of functioning of the grain corridor from Ukrainian ports to international markets. The fact that Russia is trying to" attach "now, this issue related to the ammonia pipeline, with the removal of sanctions from banks and organizations engaged in grain and fertilizer trade.

These issues are still in discussion, "the ambassador said. According to him, the United Nations signed an agreement with the Russian Federation and a corresponding memorandum of assistance in resolving these issues. "Therefore, discussions about those requirements continue, and the grain initiative must function separately, since the document for it has been signed in this format," Bodnar stressed.
