"Need to be patience": the Kremlin spoke about Putin's participation in elections

According to the speaker of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, it is inappropriate to talk about expectations from turnout on the day of voting, since all Russians are obliged to make their choice. Vladimir Putin has not yet spoken about the upcoming presidential elections that will take place in Russia on March 17, 2024. On December 7, the speaker of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov declared it, reports the Russian TASS news agency.

According to the Kremlin speaker, the Russian leader has not yet announced his participation in the elections. "There have been no statements of Putin so far, so we will be patience here," Peskov told Russian journalists. At the same time, he noted that the discussion of the Kremlin's expectations from the March 17 elections on turnout, participants and percentage of turnout is inappropriate.

"We have the rights and obligations given to all citizens by the Constitution in the context of the election campaign," Peskov added. On November 20, it became known that the Russian authorities decided to hold a presidential election in the format of a three -day vote with a mass bypass of citizens. The head of the Central Election Committee, Ella Pamphilov, reported that the upcoming election is expected to re-election Vladimir Putin for the fifth term planned for March 15-17, 2024.
