Banks under sight: new sanctions against Russia and Belarus are being prepared in Ukraine

It is noted that in this way the MRG supported the proposals of the National Bank of Ukraine for sectoral sanctions. According to the decision of the commission, proposals for the imposition of personal sanctions against the heads of the largest banks of Russia will be submitted in the NSDC. We will add that under the Law of Ukraine "On Sanctions" the decision to impose sectoral sanctions is made by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The decision is signed by the President of Ukraine, and within 48 hours from the date of issue of the decree it is approved by the Verkhovna Rada. On December 16, the European Union officially published a ninth package of anti -Russian sanctions due to a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.

The restrictions were imposed against Roskomnadzor, LDPR parties, the CPRF, "Just Russia", "New People", representatives of the Russian Imperial Movement, the Rusich Club and the Union of Volunteers of Donbass, as well as against seven Russian governors. The package also includes new economic restrictions, personal sanctions on almost 200 individuals and organizations.

In addition, the sanctions were imposed on the Russian Armed Forces, the Navy, the Air Force and the Land Forces, the Special Operations Forces and the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. It also provides a ban on the provision of Russian citizens and Russian companies of advertising services, market research and public opinion surveys.

At the same time, EU citizens have now been completely forbidden to hold management positions in state or state -controlled companies of the Russian Federation. Earlier it was reported that the Hungarian government has frozen Russian assets worth $ 925 million. It happened when Budapest's struggle with Brussels for EU funds intensified.
