According to the Navy Commander Alexei Shepapa, Ukraine also wants to expand the shipping corridor so that ships can also enter the ports of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Ukraine with the help of F-16 fighters will be able to protect the northwestern part of the Black Sea from Russian aircraft. The commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces Alexei Shepap told this, Reuters writes. According to him, a sea corridor for civilian vessels will also be protected.

The officer noted that the supplies of the US F-16, which will soon be, will be that it will be able to challenge the "full" of Russia in the sky above the Black Sea. "F-16 with proper weapons will be able to push Russian military aircraft. The northwestern part of the Black Sea, especially the corridor for civilian vessels, will be almost 100% protected," she said.

At the same time, the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces stressed that Ukraine also wants to expand the shipping corridor so that ships can also enter the ports of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. However, this is not yet possible, because the Russian Federation controls the Kinburn braid. Shepapa noted that civilian vessels in some areas are accompanied by patrol boats, which help protect them from mines when the air defense provides cover and ports and corridors.
