The chair was handed over to the Metropolitan Chambers of the UGCC, the subject of everyday life was illegally exported to Russia in the late 1980s by the bishop of the ROC Nicodom Rusnak. The senior pastor of the Christian Evangelical Church in Lviv, Valery Marchenko, brought an artifact to St. George's Cathedral and told how it was possible. One of the restorers told them that the Metropolitan of Nicodem Rusnak, who is in Kharkiv, was expelled from Lviv. Then he died, and the chair found himself in the restorator. He was offered 5 thousand euros for him, but he did not sell it. "And when the Ukrainian military came, he told them that he wanted to return this chair," the pastor said in communication with Radio Liberty.
Currently, the chair needs restoration, after which the subject will be transferred to the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Museum in Lviv. Andrey Sheptytsky was born in 1865, he was a Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He headed the church in the first half of the twentieth century, actively supported the development of education, culture and medicine.
