NATO "Alternative": Experts explained why Putin visited the DPRK and Vietnam, details

Ukraine has the support of the Western countries, which are regarded in Asia as enemies, the Russian leader is confident. He broadcasts this opinion during visits to North Korea and Vietnam and tries to create a new military union, analysts explained. Russian President Vladimir Putin is reminiscent of Asian countries of political ties with the USSR, which lasted until the 1990s. In 2024 he tries to revive cooperation, including military.

Analysts of the Institute of War (ISW) in a report published on June 19th. Analysts have paid attention to several events that started with a visit to China and continue now. The analytical report states that visits and statements indicate the attempt of the Kremlin head to create an "alternative" of NATO, which will act on the side of the Russian Federation in Asia and possibly in other parts of the world.

The report lists the events that talk about the plans of the Russian Federation: Putin pursues two goals, summed up analysts: we note, earlier, focus told details about the visit of the Russian president to North Korea. On June 19, the leaders of both countries confirmed that they had concluded a partnership agreement. They did not talk about the details of the agreement, only stated that they would fight each other if there was an "attack of the aggressor".
