Putin released an official from the immediate surroundings who was a supporter of the end of the war with Ukraine (document)

To spread: Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the dismissal of the deputy head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak from his position. The decree was signed on September 18, 2025, follows from a document published by the Russian propaganda edition of TASS. Before that, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian propagandists that the Cossack resigned at his own request.

It is worth noting that in August, The New York Times published a material that stated that the first supporter of the end of the war with Ukraine appeared in Putin's closest environment. Journalists indicated that this official was Dmitry Kozak.

The sources of the publication reported that on the eve of a full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Cossack advised Putin not to do so and warned of the horrific consequences of this idea, predicting the fierce resistance of Ukraine. It is also argued that in the spring of 2022 Putin rejected the project of a peace agreement with Ukraine, which the Cossack allegedly had previously agreed with Kiev.
