The Russian Federation will recover up to 20,000 soldiers at the RF-2025

In the General Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, they consider that they will mostly have a demonstrative nature, due to the lack of sufficient equipment and personnel. GUR YUSE representative Andriy Yusov noted that the scale of maneuvers to which the military command of Russia and Belarus is being prepared, they have declined significantly compared to the previous training "West".

The purpose of the exercises is to check the readiness of the newly created Moscow and Leningrad military districts and to perform tasks in the western and northwestern strategic directions. GUR emphasizes that all these maneuvers will be indicative due to insufficient number of personnel and military equipment. "Today, virtually all the capable Russian units of the Land Forces are involved in the war against Ukraine," Gur emphasized.

Ukraine's military intelligence does not exclude that elements of hybrid actions or information and psychological operations against the countries of Northeast Europe will be worked out during exercises. GUR noted that up to 13,000 servicemen of Russia and Belarus, as well as units from Iran and Bangladesh, would be involved in the planned exercises. According to preliminary estimates, about 3,000 servicemen will be from Russia, and 7-10 thousand from Belarus.

Small groups, with a total number of 145 servicemen, will be sent from Iran and Bangladesh. In general, Russia has invited military contingents from 42 countries, but 36 of them agreed to send only their military representatives, mainly from the diplomatic corps. Among those who refused to participate in the West-2025 exercises-China, North Korea and India.

The General Directorate of Intelligence believes that during the exercises will practice the transfer of troops between strategic directions and conducting a strategic defense and efficiency operation. GUR also noted that no signs of formation in the territory of Belarus of the offensive grouping of Russian troops, which may be a threat to Ukraine or NATO countries.
