A truce in favor of the enemy: why the Russian Federation began to capture more Ukrainian territories

These rates have increased compared to April, in particular, as a residual effect of the "Easter Truce", which came out to the Ukrainian units - sideways! During the "truce", which lasted a little more than a day, the mole not only stopped fighting on a number of areas, but also been able to accumulate resource, forces and means for a further period of intense assault actions, compacting the benches, providing them without the risk of logging and other MTZ.

As a result, due to the unchanged losses, thanks to the "Easter truce", the swarm was able to three times increase the area of ​​captured territories in the last week of April and the first week of May.

At the same time, the losses of ROV personnel in the first week of May are 8 780, while in April, in the same period, they amounted to 9 520, or, in other words, 1 km² of Ukrainian land from the beginning of May was placed on 143 bodies of the invaders, which is much smaller than in the same period of April and March. At the same time, the proportion of losses and seizure of territories for the first time since the beginning of 2025 demonstrated a decline.

Let me remind you that in 2024, the average loss of rov in relation to the captured territories was 129 bodies per 1 km². In January 2025 it was already an indicator of 148/1 km². In March, the proportion was 304/1 km². In April - 194/1 km², and the first week of May shows another peak - a ratio of 143/1 km², which is even below January this year.

Since the beginning of 2025, 891 km² of the territory of Ukraine have been occupied, while their losses amounted to 171 010 O/s or 191 bodies/1 km². Conclusion: The tendency of high losses to decline from the moment of unilateral imposition of "roar" Ukraine, which enables to improve their position on the battlefield and after which is to intensify the fighting with a significant advantage.

If we will continue to show weakness and go on a leash from the occupiers, accepting their conditions of "truce", then the number of losses of territories will increase in the near future, and the mole will suffer significant less losses than they will have.
