ISW told how Prigogine's military rebellion influenced the front in Ukraine

According to American analysts, some Russian forces used uprising as a rhetorical technique to justify any success of Ukraine in advance. Eugene Prigogine's attempt to make a coup in the Russian Federation had no significant impact on the ability of the Russian Armed Forces to fight fighting in Ukraine. This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW) of June 25.

According to analysts, according to Ukrainian and Russian sources, battles in Ukraine during the uprising in the Russian Federation were used in the usual mode throughout the line of contact. At the same time, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation made relatively more attempts to attack Ukrainian forces in the Bakhmut direction.

"Some Russian sources used an armed rebellion as a rhetorical reception to justify the Russian forces from any success of Ukraine, reached on June 24 and 25," experts stated. The report also states that the founder of Wagner PEC was probably counting on military support for his rebellion, but could not enlist it. Analysts suggest that Yevgeny Prigogin decided to negotiate, since at the time of the Wagner's approach to Moscow the number of his allies was still insufficient.

"The actions of Wagner PECs on Moscow are likely to be based on the assumption that military support would strengthen the strength and capabilities of the insurgents," analysts summed up. Recall that the network has new data on the loss of PEC "Wagner" during an attempt of a coup in the Russian Federation. Oryx analysts have counted six units of military equipment. At the same time the "Wagnerivtsi" captured the armored car and truck of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
