According to the US newspaper Newsweek, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation began an investigation into an explosion on the Eco Wizard tanker in the Russian port of Ust-Lugu, which occurred on July 6 in the Leningrad region, on the bank of the Gulf of Finnish, then connected with the "Tinov Fleet". Since the beginning of 2025, it has been a sixth tanker that came to Russian ports and suffered from the explosion.

Analysts point to the possible involvement of Ukraine in tankers accidents. Olga Polishchuk, a specialist in Aceled (Armed Conflict Location & Event Data), said Newsweek that the last incident is not unreasonable to assume the involvement of Ukraine.
