New onboard equipment and EWS: The Russian Federation boasted the modernization of the Su-57 fighter

The new set of onboard communication allegedly provides increased protection against obstacles and attempts to listen, and also has an increased range of sustainable communication. Russian engineers of the scientific and production organization "Fight" have equipped a multifunctional fighter of the "fifth generation" of SO-57 with the latest complexes of onboard means of digital communication, which allow to improve the quality of information transmission.

On August 7, the TASS agency with reference to the Roselectronics press service reported. It is noted that the new system, which is installed on the Su-57 fighter, working at high and high frequencies, provides increased protection against obstacles and attempts to listen. The system consists of the following elements: the company emphasized that this modern communication system is not exclusive for the SU-57, but can be adapted to any aircraft, even technologically outdated.

"The equipment provides the reliability of the transmission of information at the expense of delayed encoding, the movement of characters in the message, the only temporary synchronization during signal processing, the possibility of simultaneous transmission of messages by parallel channels, increasing the range of sustainable communication," the publication reads.

Other details of the new system of communication of the aircraft are not yet disclosed, but Western experts have analyzed the capabilities of the onboard complex of L402 "Himalayas". This complex works on the principle of active muffling, which is to radiate powerful radio signals for disruption and confusion of radars and communication systems of the enemy. The system also contains a passive muffle, which is to analyze and simulate the enemy signals to deceive his systems.

Meanwhile, the efficiency of L402 is difficult to determine because it depends on various factors, such as the development of enemy radio struggle and features of tactics used in a particular situation. "However, it is considered one of the most advanced systems of radio electronic struggle in the world and provides a Su-57 aircraft a significant advantage in the combat environment," Bulgarian Military Viewer said.

Russian military observers have gone further in their evaluation judgments and claim that the capabilities of L402 "Himalayas" exceed the range of air-air-air missiles used by American F-35 and F-22 aircraft. In other words, the already released rocket will be immediately disoriented with a complex of Russian fighter, although these statements have been practically not confirmed. Earlier it was reported that for Su-57 fighters allegedly developed a new RVV-MD2 rocket.
