According to the investigation, the enemy was interested in information on the geolocation of thermal power plants in the capital, the technical condition of the energy objects and the level of protection of their defense forces. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kiev detained another enemy agent. He was engaged in the preparation of new enemy air attacks on the critical infrastructure of the capital. This was reported by the SBU press service.

The detainee was the contractor of one of the military units of the National Guard, whom the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) was remotely recruited in January 2023. Both defendants were informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28 and Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (State betrayal). The sanction of the article provides for a sentence in the form of life imprisonment.
