Danilov showed US Ambassador System of Armament Control from Partner Countries

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov met with US Ambassador Bridjit Brink, during which he showed a diplomat system for monitoring weapons supply from partner countries. According to the press service of the department on Facebook, Danilov presented the module of the WTO information and analytical system for monitoring the supply of weapons to Ukraine, it has been put into operation since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia.

Video of the day, according to Danilov, thanks to this module, all the weapons provided by the partners are under careful control of the state "from the moment of crossing the border to the distribution on the ground. " He added that there are a number of other modules in the Sota system that allow the Ukrainian authorities to "understand the present and build forecasts for the future" on the basis of verified data.

On July 12, Financial Times published an article that NATO and EU countries insist on improving the tracking of weapons supplied to Ukraine, in response to fears that criminal smuggling groups are taken from the country to the Black Market of Europe. The publication, citing two Western officials, writes that a number of NATO member states are discussing any form of tracking system or detailed inventory lists of weapons that is being shipped to Ukraine.

Another source, familiar with the situation, said the Government of Ukraine creates a broader system of monitoring and tracking weapons through Western countries. At the same time, the adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuri Sak assured that "any movement of weapons to both Ukraine and Ukraine-when such a movement is required for repair when necessary-is very carefully monitored and controlled by both Ukraine and our international partners.

" FT also writes that the problem of illegal weapons from Ukraine was discussed this week at a meeting of the EU Ministers, and Europol stated in April that, according to the investigation, the import of weapons from Ukraine to supply organized criminal groups began and is a potential threat to EU security. The Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny stated that Ukraine is supervising every unit of weapons used on the battlefield with the Russian troops.
