"Vintage weapons with water cooling have proven a high efficiency at the forefront of air defense against Shahhed drones due to the ability to fire for several minutes in a row," the publication said. Maxima machine gun was developed by British gunman Gairam Stevens Maxim in 1883.

It became one of the founders of automatic weapons and was used in the First and Second World Wars. In the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Maxima machine gun is used in mobile air defense groups.
