"Fry" a swarm of UAV in seconds: TRX TRX TRX has received microwave weapons (video)

Extend: American defense companies Epirus and General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) have introduced a new autonomous robotic system called Leonidas AR intended for the destruction of hostile switches. The Leonidas AR system combines powerful microwave weapons (HPM) by Epirus Leonidas and a 10-ton Land Robotted Complex (NRC) Tracked Robot 10-Ton (TRX) by GDLS.

The companies announced the complex before its public premiere at the annual meeting and the US Army Association (AUSA), Interesting Engineering writes. It is reported that Leonidas AR can disrupt several drones at the same time using electromagnetic pulses. The bursts of powerful microwave energy instantly disable the electronic components of drones. According to the developers, operators can accurately adjust the output signal and frequency ranges of weapons for the needs of different missions.

Such adaptability allows you to determine "safe zones", cut frequencies to avoid extraneous obstacles, and remotely update the performance of the system without removing it from the field. The TRX terrestrial platform is a 10-ton hybrid-electric tracked vehicle with improved artificial intelligence, capable of passing more than 480 km on one charge at a maximum speed of 45 miles/h. TRX can boast of the all -terrain structure and the possibility of radar sensing at 360 degrees.

GDLS is currently developing a wheel system for expanding mobility for future army needs. "Combining the decades of General Dynamics Land Systems leadership in the development and deployment of land fighting machines with a leading neoinetic effect of resistance to UAVs from Epirus, Leonidas AR reaches the level of technologies of the next generation, which is required by modern -day fields," said Vice. Pascorett.
