Padalko said that she has been communicating with her mother -in -law nor Eugene with her mother since March 2022. Then, she said, Yevgeny's mother was very worried about her son, however, when he had a conversation with his mother, he realized that his family did not condemn the actions of the Russian authorities. After that conversation, Eugene told his relatives no longer to write to him, and also expressed everything he thinks about Russia, President Putin, and also told his relatives about the crimes that the Russians committed in the territory of Ukraine from the first days of the war.

At the same time, Padalko said that the man categorically gave up the relationship with his family and said that he could restore the relationship only after they repent. It should be noted that Yevgeny Sobolev was born in Krasnodar (Russian Federation), where he lived until 1995. Already in 2004 the man received a Ukrainian passport. In Ukraine, he worked as a journalist and was even a People's Deputy from the Sampomich party.
