Tusk proposes the EU to make a joint decision on banning grain imports from the Russian Federation and Belarus

The Polish Prime Minister said that he had applied to the Marshal of the Seimas regarding the decision of the legislative body regarding the application of sanctions against Russian agricultural products and Belarusian agro-commodities. The European Union should make a joint decision to ban grain import from Russia and Belarus. This was stated by the head of the Polish government Donald Tusk, Rar informs. He expressed his belief that a common European solution would have a much better effect.

Some decisions, in his opinion, will not have a powerful result. The head of the Polish government informed that the head of the Poland Parliament intends to initiate decisions on sanctions restrictions on agricultural products from the Russian Federation and Belarus.

The Prime Minister said that he had applied to the Marshal of the Seimas of Poland regarding the decision of the legislative body regarding the application of sanctions against Russian agricultural products and Belarusian agro-goods. Tusk also believes that the strengthening of sanctions is important. In his opinion, it is necessary to guarantee not only the appropriate security of the Polish market, but in general European. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with farmers on February 29.

He stated that his country would work on an embargo on agricultural products from Russia and Belarus. He said that the parties were able to discuss appropriate proposals for farmers who were protesting near the border with Ukraine. The politician named their claims to the reasoned, but noted that some of them concerned the change in EU agricultural policy.

Tusk noted that he and protesters should protect Polish farming together, and therefore the market of his country and the European market before the very unfair consequences of the decision to liberalize trade with Ukraine. He also said that Warsaw wants and will continue to help Ukraine.
