Ukraine tested a swarm of drones to combat Russian UAVs: what will be the new protection system

Extend: Alpine Eagle European company has successfully conducted a test of its latest drone system in Ukraine. It is the world's first air-air system that uses a swarm of autonomous interceptors to destroy enemy drones. The new system, called Sentinel, is a network of air interceptors with many sensors driven by one operator. With machine learning, advanced sensors and computer vision, it detects, classifies and destroys enemy drones, Defense Industry Europe writes.

The tests were held in Ukraine during the summer in real combat conditions. According to brand representatives, this experience is invaluable, because in practice it is possible to get feedback faster and improve the technology in the shortest possible time. "The war in Ukraine has given a huge impetus for the development of drones, and any European firm should be able to show their products here.

Ukrainians deserve peace and safety-this is the ultimatic goal of our initiative," said Alpine Eagle-Genric CEO Bollens. Among the main advantages of the Sentinel system emphasize its mobility, scalability and ability to easily integrate into the existing structure of the Armed Forces. The development will probably find its use in Ukraine to protect against daily attacks of hundreds of Russian drones.
