"Here safer": a prisoner of Chinese soldier does not want to return to the Russian Federation (video)

"Ukraine treats me better and is safer here. I do not want to return to Russia," - heard on the video. In addition, the prisoner told about details of stay in the department of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The law enforcement officers who wore Chang Renbo wondered if the contact was relatives. In response, the prisoner explained that he only once sent a video to his homeland, but did not say he was in the Russian Federation. Also, the family does not know that he became a soldier: he was silent that they would not worry.

From previous interrogation fragments it follows that 27-year-old Chang previously worked as a rescuer. A prisoner of war stated that I would still like to return to China, not to stay in Ukraine. It should be noted that on April 9, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the SBU published the first details of capturing two Chinese soldiers. It turned out that one of them is Chang Renbo, he is 27 years old. The other is Wang Guangzun, 34 years.

Law enforcement officers said that one of them was recruited for the sake of obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation. For this possibility he paid 300 thousand rubles. In addition, one of the detainees was recruited in China and flew to Moscow in February 2025 to conclude a contract. Another flew in December 2024 for tourist purposes.

At some point, he saw an announcement about the recruitment in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and agreed to conclude a contract with a payment of 2 million rubles, the SBU told. The first information about the captives of Chinese soldiers appeared on April 8. The Chinese were captured in two shades of the front: under Bigorivka in Kramatorsk and under Tarasivka in the Pokrovsky direction. The President of Ukraine has informed the world public.
