The "Administration" of the occupied Crimea was invited to the UN forum: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted

Participation in the World Cities Forum in Cairo of Russian occupation representatives violates the resolution on the "territorial integrity of Ukraine", Ukrainian diplomats say. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine protested through the participation of representatives of the Russian occupation power in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the 12th session of the World Forum of Cities (WUF12) in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

The forum opened on November 4 and today, November 8, should be completed. The statement was published on the official site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The statement emphasizes that the forum is under the auspices of the UN Program from settlements (UN Habitat) and the participation of the Occupation Administration of Crimea in it is an unacceptable violation of the rules of international law and resolutions of the UN itself, in particular on the "territorial integrity of Ukraine".

"Russia is trying to use to attempt to legitimize the illegal occupation of the Ukrainian territories, both international platforms and the territory of sovereign states, in this case - the Arab Republic of Egypt, consciously provoking tension, including at the level of bilateral relations," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Ukrainian diplomats accuse the UN-Habitat of admission to the Forum of International Law Violators and call UN Secretary General Antonio Guterresh and the Program management to stop the spread of propaganda by representatives The goals and principles of the UN Charter. We will remind, on October 23, UN Secretary General Anthony Guterres arrived in the Russian Kazan for the summit of Brix member states, ignoring the global world of peace in Switzerland.
