The greatest since the Cold War: NATO plans to conduct large -scale military training

The training will be held in Germany, Poland and the Baltic States in the winter of the Vesimsnaya in 2024. They are part of a new training strategy, according to which the military alliance will conduct two great training every year instead of one. NATO will conduct the next spring the biggest military exercises since the Cold War. This event is scheduled for spring 2024. About it reports Financial Times.

Steadfast Defender training will be held in February-March in Germany, Poland and the Baltic countries. About 41 thousand servicemen, more than 50 ships, made from 500 to 700 aviation flights will be involved. NATO wants to check his willingness to repel a potential Russian invasion. It is planned to increase the frequency of such exercises to two per year instead of one. The publication notes that these will be the greatest military exercises of NATO since the end of the Cold War.

Training is also the first in terms of technical capabilities: they use real geographical data to create more realistic scenarios for troops. It should be reminded that NATO warships in the Mediterranean have completed training in the passage of "complex" simulation mine fields. The training took place against the backdrop of the Black Sea blockade after leaving the grain agreement. The newspaper states that the event presses on Russia to stop the blockade of the Black Sea.
