In Novorossiysk found FPV fiber optic fibers: what was beaten on the ports of the Russian Federation (photo)

To spread: Russian sources have declared Ukraine's use of a new type of unmanned systems during attack on the port of Tuapse and Novorossiysk. In the waters of the Krasnodar region found Ukrainian drones with a first person camera (FPV), which use fiber optic cables to bypass radio -electronic obstacles. In the photos and videos from the scene published by the Russian media, the Business Insider observers drew attention.

It is reported that there are visible boxes with lids on board the damaged boats, inside which were FPV-square. Some drones were equipped with coils with the thinnest signal cables. At the same time, journalists say that they could not independently confirm the accuracy of personnel, but their design corresponds to well -known Ukrainian developments.

The material states that the use of cable control allows drones to keep in touch with the operator even in the conditions of active radio electronic suppression. Unlike standard FPV-muzzles, vulnerable, fiber-optic models are capable of working in areas saturated with EWS. However, they have disadvantages - limited range and increased weight through the cable.

That is why such platforms are often launched from so -called "mother ships" - terrestrial or marine carriers that deliver drones closer to goals. Such systems are particularly in demand for strokes on electronic warfare and highly protected targets. It was also noted that Ukraine is experimenting with marine carriers, and also uses drones-Kamikadze against the ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Russia, in turn, recently reported tests of its own sea drones, driven by powerful cables. We will remind, on September 25, GUR employees conducted an operation during which the Russian oil terminals were struck by Novorossiysk and Tuapse. Thanks to successful attacks, the work of ports is paralyzed, and the port of Novorossiysk stopped shipping oil. On September 24, Ukrainian UAVs hit the office of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium in Novorossiysk.
