Russia and China do not intercept: US prepare a new technology of anonymous data transmission

The new US Defense Ministry initiative, in particular, should help citizens of authoritarian countries to exchange reports in censorship safely. The Department of Prospective Research Projects of the US Department of Defense (Darpa) announced the program "Deploying and Detection of Suspicious Networks" (PWND2). This is stated on the official website of the department.

The announcement says that many citizens of authoritarian countries cannot communicate freely with each other because of control of Internet communications. In this regard, DARPA invests in the development of technologies that provide delivery of electronic messages in different forms and with different degrees of noticeability. It is reported that the new Agency Innovation Innovation Program (I2O) PWND2 is based on the success of the Resilgent Anonymous Communication for Everyone (Race).

Developers create formal models of new communication ways to improve the deployment and identify reliable and stable hidden networks. The PWND2 program is designed for 30 months, during which research groups will seek to create a new domain-specific language and formal analysis tools to test the properties of strange networks in hidden communication systems.

Darpa believes that a combination of formal methods with program-defined identification of hidden networks can give guarantees of privacy and productivity. "If we succeed, I am involved in the creation of a new science of hidden networks," said PWND 2 Michael Lek. Darpa also emphasized that the US Congress consistently allocates funds to strengthen global Internet freedom. Similar initiatives, in particular, help people in authoritarian countries around censorship.

Recall that French technological companies, with the support of the French Defense Innovation Agency, first used a laser to communicate between UneseenLabs low -orbital nanosalabs and a commercial landing station provided by Cailabs. It was also reported that the physicists of the University of Exeterns, the United Kingdom, have created a new way of transmitting information.
