This was reported on the official page of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. According to Chueva, there are 171 structures among damaged objects, which has the status of a cultural monument. In addition, 146 valuable historic buildings and 44 museums were affected by shelling. There are 552 cases of damage and destruction. The Deputy Minister also stressed that not all affected buildings are officially cultural monuments, but of cultural value.
For example, Chueva provides modern monuments to ATO heroes, mosaics and stained glass. Among other problems, Kateryna Chueva mentioned the fate of architecture and arts that are now in the temporarily occupied territories. According to the official, there is no opportunity to check the condition of these objects and to estimate the losses.
The conference was attended by UNESCO representatives, the Council of Europe Headquarters and the International Cultural Heritage Alliance in the Conflict Area. Countries such as Poland, Georgia, Germany and Spain also participated in the discussion.
The conference was the association of representatives of the public, as well as experts in human rights protection, architecture of restoration and archeology into a working group, which will be engaged in the protection of Ukrainian cultural heritage. Earlier, UNESCO representatives in cooperation with the UNSat Satellite Center announced the creation of a special database to take into account all damage to Ukrainian cultural objects.
