Discrimination of Russian -speaking: The Kremlin is preparing a hybrid war against another country - isw

Russia can use the recent Transnistrian Congress as a bridgehead to strengthen hybrid operations aimed at destabilizing and further polarization of Moldova before starting negotiations on EU joining and presidential elections, ISW analysts say. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov stated that Moldova is allegedly discriminating Russian -speaking. This was reported by analysts of the Institute of War Study in the daily report for March 2.

"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov used the Antalyan Diplomatic Forum to promote the Kremlin narratives about Moldova to create the conditions for potential hybrid operations of the Kremlin," the statement said. Analysts have noted that this hybrid operation can be aimed at destabilizing Moldova and preventing the country's accession to the European Union.

On March 1, Lavrov spoke at the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya (Turkey) about the congress of deputies of all levels of the "Transnistrian Moldovan Republic", where Russia was required for Russia to provide Transnistria "Defense/Defense". According to Lavrov, the government of Moldova allegedly "moves in the footsteps of Kiev". He also repeated his preliminary comparisons of Moldova's policy on Transnistria with Ukraine by 2014.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stressed that Moldova allegedly discriminates Russian -speaking, applies "economic pressure" to Transnistria and blocks the negotiation process 5+2 on the Transnistrian conflict. Analysts noted that these statements were constantly repeated by Kremlin officials and mouthpieces.

ISW believes that the Kremlin uses the Transnistrian Congress as a bridgehead to strengthen hybrid operations aimed at destabilization and further polarization of Moldova before the country's accession to the EU and the presidential election.

We will remind, on February 28 in Transnistria there was a congress of deputies of all levels, where local deputies stated that Moldova allegedly caught a "catastrophic" blow to the Economy of Tiraspol, and appealed to the Federation Council and the State Duma to implement the PMR protection measures .
