Effectively destroy Balism: What is known about Aster 30 missiles that Ukraine will receive from France

Aster class rockets are able to strike priority goals by direct hit, using the method of gas -dynamic proportional transverse control. The new Aster 30 anti-aircraft missiles, which are used for Mamba SAMP-T, have been announced in France, in France. Such complexes can fight with aviation and destroy anti -radiolocation missiles. However, the most important thing is that they can successfully destroy tactical ballistic missiles.

This is discussed in the material of the information agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Armyinform". The authors of the article point out that Aster 30 represents the family of anti -aircraft guided missiles aster and is a unified type of air defense of land and ship base. The developer of the Aster 30 missiles is the Eurosam consortium (France, Italy and the United Kingdom), created with the participation of MBDA Missile Systems and Thales leading defense companies.

Modifications of jet shells include: Aster 15 (small and medium radius), Aster 30 (large radius) and Aster Block 2 BMD (a protmospheric interception). An important quality of Aster class rockets is the ability to defeat priority goals by direct hit (Hit-to-Kill), which uses the method of gas-dynamic proportional transverse control. France and Italy received SAMP-T in 2011.

At the same time, the authors of the Armyonform material emphasized that the most important characteristic of SAMP-T is the ability to successfully knock down tactical ballistic missiles at a distance of 15 to 35 km. In 2013, Italy and France conducted a joint test of the complex within the framework of NATO exercises. It is known that SAMP-T has coped perfectly by intercepting the ballistic goal.

The rocket released from the aircraft successfully destroyed the Aster 30 interceptor after a ballistic flight, which was about 300 km. It was Aster missiles that helped the France's missile frigate (D656), which is now in the Red Sea, successfully intercept three Ballistic missiles of Yemeni Hussites. On February 2, 2024, it became known that the European Organization of Joint Cooperation (OCCAR) in the field of weapons signed a contract for four SAMP/T NG missile defense systems for Italy.
