Won't miss UAV, rockets and planes: how the latest Ltamds system can enhance air defense

To spread: The American company Raytheon has developed a Ltamds radar designed to combat advanced threats to the next generation, including hypersonic weapons. During recent successful tests, the Ltamds system has supported the integrated battle management system and the PAC-3 MSE missile interception that mimic the threatening target, according to Raytheon's official website.

It is reported that high power and full coating provided by three Ltamds radar arrays allow you to reflect massive, coordinated attacks. The system is able to identify threats such as drones, modern planes, as well as ballistic, winged and hypersonic missiles. "The capabilities of the 360-degree full-fledged ltamds are specifically aimed at massive, coordinated opponents' attacks," said Tom Laliberty, President of the Raytheon land and air defense systems.

Ltamds has already completed nine successful flight tests of growing complexity. The purpose of the last test was to demonstrate the successful integration of Radar with the recently delivered large tactical power source (LTPS). According to the company, Poland was the first international client to add Ltamds to its airfront and anti -missile defense architecture. Several countries plan to buy a system to modernize their air defense.
