The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak held an online meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Football Association, during which they coordinated actions to prevent Russia's national team to participate in the World Cup Football Championships. “Russia has not yet demonstrated political will to cease fire and end the war.

Therefore, it would be a big mistake to say that it is necessary to go towards Russia and allow football championships, ”Andrey Yermak said. The head of the Presidential Office reminded that the International Olympic Committee has banned Russia's participation in team sports competitions through the war, and the International Football Federation (FIFA) should demonstrate solidarity with the global sports community to prevent representatives of the aggressor country.
