The speaker of the Air Force Yuri Ignat reported that the priority was to receive the American F-16. French planes Rafale and Swedish Gripen are also considered. However, on the battlefield they will appear shortly. Ukraine expects to receive 24 modern fighters from Western allies within the first package of military assistance of this format. The Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat told this in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

According to him, it is about the creation of two battalions of aircraft, each of them will have 12 units. He also noted that American F-16 fighters remain priority. However, they also consider the French battle aircraft Rafale and Swedish Gripen. However, Yuri Ignat also warned that the use of Western fighters on the battlefield would not be fast. In addition to difficult political discussions for providing such weapons, Ukrainian fighters still need to be taught.

The command of the command said that it will take at least half a year to train pilots and teams. At the same time, the adviser to the chairman of the OP Mikhail Podolyak reported that negotiations with partners to transfer to Ukraine the assault aviation and long -range missiles are already in accelerated mode. According to him, the Allies understand that it is needed to cover the armored vehicles that our country is already receiving.

"Also in order to dramatically reduce the key tool of the Russian army - artillery, we need missiles. Therefore, negotiations are already going, negotiations are accelerated," he said. At the same time, Podolyak emphasized the psychological factor of the Western countries, which are still partly fearing that "world architecture is broken through the war.
