Military accounting for women: who has a deferral and whom they are mobilized to the Armed Forces

In addition, women of other specialties who are related to the military can be at their own request.

According to Levko, women who will be in military registration can be called for military service. They may also be involved in the implementation of defense of Ukraine during martial law. The legislation does not distinguish between conscripts and men, so women will perform military duty on an equal basis with men.

Pregnant women and those who are on maternity leave are considered unfit for military service in accordance with Article 73 of the disease schedule in accordance with the Regulations on the Military Medical Expertise in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Military servicemen who are already called for mobilization may be dismissed from pregnancy and childcare leave before reaching the age of three, or if the child needs home care for no more than six years of age.

Doctors who raise children on their own, have three or more underage children or raise a child with a disability, and if their husband serves in the Armed Forces. Pursuant to Article 210 of the Criminal Code on Administrative Offenses, women who will evade military accounting may be fined 50 to 100 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens-UAH 850-1700-for violation of military registration rules during martial law.
