A Russian military plane was "recorded" in the sky over Poltava region: what is known (photo)

Share: On the evening of November 10, the radars suddenly "detected" a Russian military aircraft Ilyushin Il-62M with flight number RA-86559 in the sky over Poltava region. The ship allegedly took off from Moscow, flew into the airspace of Ukraine in the eastern part and was in the sky over the Poltava region. This is evidenced by FlightRadar24 online radar data.

The service demonstrated that the Russian Ilyushin Il-62M with flight number RA-86559 allegedly ended up in the sky near the city of Kremenchuk in the Poltava region, having previously flown near the regional center. It is worth noting that there was no official confirmation of the presence of a Russian military aircraft in the sky over Poltava Region. Soon the data of the service was updated and the plane with the flight number RA-86559 was detected by the radars in the sky over the Black Sea.

The ship was already heading south towards Turkey, not far from the coast of Georgia. Probably, this was the route of the Russian plane from the beginning, but for unknown reasons the service "fixed" it over the Ukrainian Poltava region. It is worth noting that from time to time the FlightRadar24 service may experience failures due to which the platform does not display the correct information. The airspace over Ukraine remains closed due to a full-scale Russian invasion.

A similar incident happened in September 2024, when data from the Flightradar24 service showed that the Il-76TD military transport plane took off in the Minsk region and was recorded in the sky over the Chernihiv region for some time. Later it turned out that it was a failure. It will be recalled that on November 5, Clash Report reported that the Sudanese rebels shot down the Il-76 plane: the entire Russian crew died.
