"Astronomical" losses and "ruins": Trump spoke about peace in Ukraine, Zelensky and Putin

The newly elected US President Donald Trump said that the losses of both sides of the war were diminished and explained the number of dead plain terrain. He also predicted how many decades Ukraine will have to rebuild cities. Trump has promised to do everything possible to stop fire and warned that Ukraine would see less assistance from the United States as soon as it has been gaining power. The newly elected president was asked if Ukraine should give way to the territories occupied by Russia.

He replied that there is no whole building on the captured lands and there is nowhere to return. "There is nothing, just ruins," the leader said. According to him, to restore cities after the Russian-Ukrainian war can take up to 100 years. According to The New York Times, the Republican refused to answer whether he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the elections. However, he assured that under his supervision Russia would not have fallen into the territory of Ukraine.

The publication noted that the invasion took place in 2014 - before Trump's first cadence. His presidency did not allow to avoid the expansion of hostilities later in 2022. Trump said he had talked to President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky when he was in France on the opening of the restored cathedral of Our Lady of Paris. The Washington Post conveyed that he also shared that he did not invite Zelensky to his inauguration.
