Comparing the current losses of the invaders with the war in Afghanistan, in nine years the USSR army lost about 70,000 servicemen, reminders. And the average daily number of Russian invaders in Ukraine increased by almost 300 people last year.

This was written by Polish journalists of Gazeta Polska Codziennie, citing British sources. At the same time, the publication of January 8 provides data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to which the Russians lost more than 364,000 people during the fighting. "This is more than 70,000 Red Army soldiers killed and wounded for nine years of Soviet invasion of Afghanistan," the material reads.

In order to fill the losses, the Kremlin announced in September 2022 on partial mobilization, as well as actively conducting mobilization measures in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in order to call as many men as possible to their army. And sometimes young people are 17 years old. In addition, foreigners began to recruit in the Russian Armed Forces, for example, from distant Cuba.

After the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the admission of foreigners to citizenship, which concluded a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, such foreigners will be able to obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure.

"In 2023, the average daily number of Russian aggressors in Ukraine increased by almost 300 people, and if these indicators are preserved next year, Russia will lose more than half a million people in Ukraine," journalists summed up. We will remind, Ukrainian politician Yuriy Lutsenko called on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and above the military leadership of the country to voice the number of dead Ukrainians in the war.
