The European Union continues to work on 11 packages of sanctions against Russia for invasion of Ukraine. Journalists learned that the block, for example, wants to close the loopholes, limiting the transportation of Russian oil and petroleum products after the ceiling is introduced. The European Union wants to close its ports for ships trying to bypass sanctions against Russia. This measure is part of the wider 11th package, Bloomberg reports.

According to preliminary data, the block also offers countries to support restrictive measures against ships whose crew disconnects navigation systems. These measures will require support for all Member States. So in Brussels they want to close the loopholes and limit the transportation of Russian oil and petroleum products after the ceiling of prices.

At the same time, the European Commission has referred to "a sharp increase in fraudulent practices and related environmental risks" by courts trying to bypass the G7 price ceiling and oil embargo. Thus, courts suspected of violating sanctions by transshipment from a ship to a ship will prohibit the measure to European ports. The prohibition will also extend to the vessels if there are suspicions that they provide direct or indirect assistance to Russia at the extortion of sanctions.

Earlier it became known that Brussels for the first time after the start of a full -scale war between Russia and Ukraine, sanctions against Chinese and Iranian companies engaged in the supply of components for weapons to the Russian Federation. A new EU Member States will be discussed this week, including seven Chinese enterprises accused of selling equipment that can be used to manufacture weapons. It is also proposed to impose sanctions on I Jet Global DMCC in Dubai and Syria.
