Ukraine does not keep Russian children in its territory, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubine...

The media reported "exchange" of children between Ukraine and the Russian Federation: Lubin's reaction appeared

Ukraine does not keep Russian children in its territory, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets said. If they are here - no one interferes with them returning to the Russian Federation. No agreement on children's exchange between Russia and Ukraine has been concluded under the mediation of Qatar. This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets. He noted that Qatar is a mediator in the return of illegally deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.

At the same time, the Ombudsman stressed, Ukraine did not steal and keep Russian children in its territory, does not interfere with their return to Russia, if they are in our territory. "International humanitarian law does not involve such a process as the exchange of children," the official explained, adding that the situation looks like a "outright promotion of Russian narratives.

" "What cynicism should be reached to offer a similar mechanism for the return of Ukrainian children from deportation?", Dmitry Lubinets expressed his indignation. Recall that the French edition of Le Monde, citing an unnamed Qatar official, reported the alleged "exchange of children" between Ukraine and Russia. As noted, one adult and nine minors should return to Ukraine from 12 to 17 years, and four children will be sent to Russia, 2 to 7 years old.
