According to journalists, earlier Nepal asked Moscow not to recruit their citizens in occupation troops, but to send Nepalese to send back home, paying compensation to the families of the dead. It is reported that according to the Nepalese government, up to 200 Nepaleans serve in the Russian Army. Moreover, about 100 Nepal citizens have already disappeared.

According to the Director of the Department of Foreign Employment of Nepal Kabiraj Upreti, the decision to temporarily terminate work permits for Russia and Ukraine was aimed at minimizing human victims and will be in force. "It's for the safety of our citizens," he said. Journalists noted that Nepalese migrant workers should receive work permits from the government to get a job abroad.
