"It is not" cannon "Yasa": As the Armed Forces held for more than a month surrounded in Toretsk and were able to go out (video)

To spread: The Russian military is trying to fully establish control over the city of Toretsk in Donetsk. According to the Armed Forces, fierce street fights are already ongoing in the city. If the enemy takes Toretsk, it will open his way to Konstantinovka - one of the largest cities of Donbass, which is currently under Ukraine.

The publication of "The Wait Time" (created on the initiative of "Radio Liberty" and "Voice of America") talked with the military of the Armed Forces, which kept positions in Toretsk for more than a month. "You come back from the battle, watch the video and you can't believe that all this has survived it. It's full of madness. You look at the screen - and scary.

There, at the epicenter, you just work: the body at the autopilot, everything is collected as much as possible," - says Officer Bogdan Kushnir. The evacuation of Ukrainian fighters from the city was called "surgery". After 35 days of isolation of defense forces, it was possible to remove the group from the dangerous zone. Kushnir confessed that he did not consider himself a rigid person, but the war forced to show those traits of character that remain hidden in peaceful life.

In 2014, then he returned to civilian life, but after a full -scale invasion of 2022 he was in defense of his country. Moreover, in winter, at -15 or even -18, " -recalls the man. The fighters kept the extreme defensive border -an ordinary residential building in Toretsk. The assault began suddenly. " They went confidently and rigidly. It's not "cannon meat", as they used to say. They acted hard. If one direction was not possible, they went to another.

They stormed 12 hours without a break - from five in the morning to fifth in the evening. There were groups that did not retreat, just stayed on the battlefield, "Kushnir says. After three weeks of intense resistance, the situation became critical: frosts intensified, soldiers were sick, and storms did not stop. The prisoners of the prisoner, where there was nothing to protect, broke out of the armored vehicles.
