Starlink is not just for the Armed Forces. Ilon Musk promotes service in the army of other countries

Japan's self -defense forces have been testing Starlink since March, and the system is deployed at 10 points in the country. The Japanese military is testing the satellite Internet Ilon Mask Starlink. If everything goes well, the Ministry of Defense of Japan can implement this technology for its troops next financial year, Reuters reports, citing unnamed government sources.

So far, the Japanese soldiers have access to geostationary communication satellites, but they did not have access to the low -land devices that Starlink will provide. Japan's self -defense forces have been tested by Starlink since March, and the system has been deployed at about 10 points in the country. Apparently, according to military experts, the country's Defense Ministry has been satisfied with how Starlink uses the Ukrainian army, reflecting Russia's aggression.

Currently, the fleeting satellite mask has 3000 devices in low Earth orbit, but Starlink constantly launches new satellites into orbit, expanding and improving the coating. The company intends to increase their total to 9000 in the near future. The publication reminds that in February 2022 the service was activated for users in Ukraine thanks to a mask.

It all began with the fact that at that time Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov wrote a mask on Twitter a request to a billionaire to connect the Armed Forces to the Internet. A few hours later, Musk replied that the satellite online service of Starlink is now active in Ukraine and even more terminals on the road.
