They were forced to dig a grave: the captive "Wagnevets" told about the war in Ukraine

According to the Wagner PEC fighter, the invaders who retreat are shot in place. At the same time, there is no obstacle to continue the offensive, he said. Captive Russians from Wagner PEC told reporters that militants from the Russian group would suffer great losses, and those who retreated will shoot their own comrades from the service. About it reports CNN.

The journalists were able to ask about the fighting in Ukraine of two prisoners, who were sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder and recruited to Wagner from the Russian colony. According to them, they got to the Ukrainian captivity at the end of 2022 after participating in the battles in Bigorivka of Luhansk region. In a comment to the publication, they were killed 60 of the 90 dead, who were in their detachment under artillery fire.

"If one of the groups does not succeed, the next goes forward. If it falls, the third is sent forward," the prisoners say. In addition, according to captives, if the militants retreat without completing the task, they are shot in place. One of the respondents told how the PVC fighter, who refused to attack, was forced to dig a grave.

At the same time, the interlocutors of the publication stated that the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield is not provided - they are forced to leave the position on their own. The prisoners stated that the recruitment in their colony was carried out personally by the founder of the Wagner PEC Yevgeny Prigogin, promising a pardon and a criminal record after six months of fighting, as well as monetary remuneration and payment of loans.

Also, according to CNN interlocutors, they were told that they would fight with mercenaries from the Western countries, including Poland and Germany, as the Ukrainian army allegedly fled. "I think it was the wrong choice (go to fight in Ukraine) . . . I never participated in any military operations, especially in the battles against the Armed Forces that refuse to give their land. They brought us here under the wrong reason.
