Aihmi's unusual drone will make rockets "even more dangerous": how this UAV works (photo)

AIHMI AHM-1X UAVs significantly increases the impact range and allows you to control even uncontrollable missiles. The Greek company SAS Technology presented an unusual AIHMI drone at the Defea 2023 exhibition in Athens, designed to move missiles. Details reports EDR Magazine. Very low range air defense systems that improve the characteristics, and the deployment of large -caliber cars make flights over the battlefield is increasingly dangerous for helicopters and UAVs armed with rockets.

Therefore, SAS Technology, together with Thales, has started developing a glider to increase the range of 2. 75-inch missiles. As a result of such cooperation, the AIHMI system came out, which in Greek means "edge". In fact, it is a carbon fiber drone with a wing 1. 98 meters long and a two -bladed electric motor in the back, and a rocket with a diameter of 2. 75 inches (70 mm) is inserted into the front of the housing. The total length of the apparatus in the case is 1.

82 m, and the weight is 16 kg (12 of them - a rocket). In the normal position, the wings are folded along the fuselage and are straightened immediately after take -off. Aihmi can move for 15 minutes. at a speed of up to 140 km/h, and then can plan about 13-15 minutes. The GPS is responsible for the guidance and the inertial system that is not afraid of the "bush" of the Reb. If the drone is armed with a controlled rocket, then before the blow it will also be given on the laser beam.

Approximately 7 km from the goal, the drone will launch the ammunition, and it will remain intact. If AIHMI is equipped with an uncontrollable rocket, the goal will be able to choose the operator that will monitor the flight through the camera and a double -sided communication channel. Don AIHMI AHM-1X is currently undergoing flight tests, and as soon as they are completed, Sas Technology will start fire testing with Thales.

According to the company, when starting from a height of 1000 m above the AIHMI land in the engine, the engine will fly by 45 km, and then be able to plan another 15 km, which increases the total range of impact to 60 km. Sas Technology plans to equip AIHMI AHM-1X other her own UAVs of vertical takeoff and planting SRS-1A Sarisa, which carries a healthy load of 25 kg. In addition, the new system can be armed with Thalos II with a fixed wing that will lift up to four AHM-1X.
