On May 6, journalist Irina Levchenko disappeared under unknown circumstances.

She previously worked for the publication of Telegraph and told readers about unique people from Ukraine and the world before the war, attracted attention to social problems, and also shared everything that was happening in the Zaporozhye region. After February 24, Melitopol, where Irina lives, came under the control of the occupation troops and the woman was forced to be released. They together with their husband had a joint hobby - they grown vegetables and berries in the country.

Irina Rudenko's sister says that Alexander was able to convey a note from captivity, in which he reported that he was accused of "terrorism". Women's colleagues remember her as a person who has never lost a positive mood. She was fully given to the business she loved to do.

"I can't think about IRI without tears, not what to talk about her. These are tears from a mixture of experiences for her, the impotence somehow change the situation and anger on these in **** civilians in the occupied territories . . . I still hope that I get from Ira some usual message. But the more time passes, the better I understand that it is not known when it will happen . . . I am most afraid to see a video that Ira confesses to something.

On the other hand, it will be some confirmation that she is alive, ”says one of Irina's colleagues. The editor -in -chief of the Telegraph Yaroslav Zarenov also mentions that on the first day of the war, his phone was torn from calls and one of them was from Irina. In Melitopol, from the first hours it was extremely dangerous and shells were flying. No work was discussed, its main goal was to survive.

Sources in law enforcement agencies, which are directly involved in the processes of exchange of prisoners, told about the difficult situation with Ukrainians who are not amenable to Russian propaganda. "The situation is catastrophic with civilians. The Russians are simply kidnapped, but they do not want to exchange, because we do not have their civilians. We are a civilized country and do not steal citizens who would have citizenship," the statement said.
