"Appears as observers": Russians are not ready to drop Putin's regime - Latvia intelligence

According to representatives of the special services, the military rebellion of Prigogine did not bring the expected results and the support of the Ministry of Defense only increased. Also unlikely mass protests within the country. The Russians are still not ready to fight the regime of Vladimir Putin and they want to distance themselves from all political processes that occur in the country. This is stated in the Bureau for the Protection of the Latvia Constitution of August 17.

It is noted that the people of the Russian Federation are increasingly resorting to alienation and apathy. Even after the test in the form of a military rebellion, the Kremlin regime remained stable. An attempt by a coup by the head of the Wagner PEC, Yevgeny Prigogine, did not have a negative impact on public sentiment, despite expectations. Moreover, the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation allegedly increased several times. Mass protests are still unlikely.

"Russian society is generally refrained from involvement in conflict situations between Russian elite groups. They are more likely to act as cautious external observers of the situation, adjusting to those who won," the report said. The first conflicts may lead to ethnic tensions that have occurred within the Russian Federation. This may also be influenced by unpopular decisions or politically significant events.

In particular, Latvia involves general mobilization or mass violations during the presidential election in early 2024. "In any case, these events are unlikely to lead to large-scale riots or instability of the Russian regime, and rather will create temporary shocks,"-said representatives of the special service. We will remind, on August 17 in GUR reported that captives Russians are not ready to drop Putin's regime. Moreover, mass repentance is not fixed among them.
