Engineers may now work on a completely new version of Neptune so that the rocket can fly further without reducing the weight of the combat part. The Ukrainian analogue of "Lancet" will have the function of exploration and damage to armored vehicles, says Alexander Matvienko.

The prospects for modernizing the Ukrainian Neptune missile, which successfully affects the ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, for example, the Konstantin Olshansky ship, are very muggling, especially in the segment of increasing range to 1000 km. It is also important to improve the rocket so that it can beat for land purposes and develop in this regard. The journalist of the military department of focus Alexander Matvienko told this in an interview.

According to him, apparently engineers need to resolve the issue of fuel for the rocket so that it is enough for such a distance, because it is actually three times more than it can fly now. In turn, increasing the fuel supply will reduce the combat part, if, of course, the developers leave the size of the rocket standard. "From this it turns out that perhaps now Ukrainian designers are working on a completely new rocket with the same name," the journalist notes.

"But" Neptune "will show themselves again and, I hope, in a new modification to fly to the conditional Kremlin and will pass on the dwarf that he sits there. " Matvienko says that work on the creation of the Ukrainian analogue to the Russian Dron-Kamikadze "Lancet" is actively moving. Its main interests will be the presence of machine vision and the ability to affect the goals even in the complete absence of GPS signals or radio communications.

"We are now talking about one manufacturer who starts serial production of such drones," Matvienko notes. -In relation to the battle part of 3 kg, which may not seem like so big, then it is enough to hit the weakest places in the armored vehicle: motor-transmission department Or a tank tower.

" Of course, the journalist says, Russian armored vehicles are trying to equip dynamic protection and he can work in such a way that the drone will do nothing and here it all depends on the accuracy of the impact. According to Matvienko, the Ukrainian analogue "Lancet" will be able to have a radius of action of 100 km, and will also be equipped with protection against HR.
