Scientists suggested using Starlink satellites for GPS navigation to help the Armed Forces

" Starlink is based on a technology called orthogonal frequency division of channels (ofdm), which makes it possible to pack the largest number of bits per second in a given bandage. It is interesting that the researchers did not even try to break the encryption of Starlink, but instead focused on the sequences of synchronization. Hamfris said they were able to reveal such sequences, but "were pleasantly surprised, finding that the satellites had much more synchronization sequences than needed.

" SpaceX satellites constantly send signals to each other, catching these signals and determining the sequence, the land receiver can determine which satellite the signals were sent from, and then calculate the distance to this satellite. Repeating this process for several satellites, the receiver can determine its location up to 30 m, according to the material.
